One Year of Care in River Falls: Celebrating Dr. Cassy Nagel’s Impact on Her Community
One year ago, Dr. Cassy Nagel stepped into two major new roles at once: chiropractor and business owner.
Fresh out of chiropractic school, she opened ChiroWay of River Falls with a vision for the kind of practice she wanted to build and the kind of impact she wanted to have. She chose to do it in a community that was already meaningful to her.
Now, one year later, ChiroWay of River Falls is celebrating a milestone shaped by relationships, continued learning, community involvement, and Dr. Cassy’s commitment to making chiropractic care more accessible to the people of River Falls.
River Falls: A Community That Means Something to Her
For Dr. Cassy, River Falls wasn’t simply a place to open a business.
Growing up in the area and spending significant time in River Falls gave her a personal connection to the people and community she would eventually serve. When it came time to begin her career, she saw an opportunity to build something meaningful close to the community that helped shape her.
“What excites me most about bringing ChiroWay to my community is the opportunity to give back to a place that helped shape who I am,” Dr. Cassy shared.
That connection has influenced the way she has approached her first year of ownership. From getting to know the people who walk through her doors to becoming more involved throughout River Falls, her goal has been to build relationships and create a practice that feels like part of the community.
“What I enjoy most about being a ChiroWay owner is getting to truly know the people in my community and be a part of their lives. It’s so meaningful to build those relationships and connect with people on a regular basis.”
Supporting River Falls — and Its Students
Being part of a college community has also given Dr. Cassy a unique opportunity to connect with students and young adults.
Throughout her first year, she has been passionate about helping students think proactively about their health and begin building healthy habits early.
“I’ve especially loved being able to share that message with students. Helping them understand the importance of taking care of their nervous system early on and building healthy habits now has been really impactful.”
For busy students, families, professionals, and community members, accessibility matters. That’s one reason Dr. Cassy was initially drawn to ChiroWay’s approach.
After the first visit, the walk-in model allows clients to receive care without scheduling every visit in advance, while affordable plan options are designed to make consistency more realistic.
As Dr. Cassy explains, “Overall, it’s a model built around making care work for people’s lives, not the other way around, which is what really sets it apart.”
That philosophy has helped shape the kind of resource she wants ChiroWay of River Falls to be: a place where caring for your health can become part of everyday life.
A First Year Defined by Growth
Opening ChiroWay of River Falls also marked the beginning of Dr. Cassy’s professional career.
She graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in December 2024 with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree and stepped into practice ownership during her first year out of school.
But her commitment to learning didn’t stop at graduation.
Dr. Cassy completed her certification in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy (cVSMT) through the Healing Oasis Wellness Center in November 2024 and has also earned Webster Certification through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
That drive to continue learning has carried into her first year as an owner.
Running a practice has required her to grow not only as a chiropractor, but as a leader and entrepreneur. When asked about an underestimated challenge of being a woman business owner, Dr. Cassy shared:
“For me, it’s been balancing being approachable and kind while also being decisive. You want people to feel comfortable, but you also have to make clear, confident decisions for your business.”
Her first year has been an opportunity to develop both sides of that responsibility — continuing to strengthen her knowledge as a chiropractor while learning how to confidently lead a business and represent ChiroWay within her community.
Building Something Bigger Than a Practice
For Dr. Cassy, success has never been solely about opening a chiropractic center.
It is about what that center can become for the people around it.
Her long-term vision is to create a trusted presence in River Falls where individuals and families feel comfortable making chiropractic care part of their regular wellness routines.
That includes creating a space that works for people with busy lives — including women who are often balancing careers, families, businesses, and caring for others.
“I want ChiroWay to be a place where they can prioritize their own health without adding stress or complications to their busy schedules.”
That idea of supporting people so they can continue showing up for the things that matter to them is central to the impact Dr. Cassy hopes to make.
Relationships at the Center of It All
Ask Dr. Cassy what she enjoys most about ownership, and the answer continually comes back to relationships.
Over the past year, the people walking through ChiroWay of River Falls have become more than names on a schedule. Regular care creates an opportunity to see people consistently, learn about their families, school, work, hobbies, goals, and lives.
For Dr. Cassy, those connections are one of the most meaningful parts of being a chiropractor in River Falls.
They also reflect the values she brings to her practice: compassion, integrity, and community.
“Building a supportive community, both within my practice and beyond, is important to me because I know lasting health comes from connection and trust.”
One Year of ChiroWay of River Falls
The first year of any business brings plenty of learning. For Dr. Cassy, it has also brought the opportunity to begin creating the impact she envisioned when she first decided to become a practice owner.
She has grown from a new chiropractic graduate into a chiropractor, entrepreneur, and community leader. She has continued investing in her education while investing just as intentionally in the people around her. And she has begun building a practice rooted in a community that has been meaningful to her long before ChiroWay of River Falls opened its doors.
There is still much more ahead.
Dr. Cassy’s long-term goal is to continue growing ChiroWay of River Falls, reaching more people, educating her community about proactive chiropractic care, and giving back to the place that has given so much to her.
As she shared when describing that vision:
“Over time, I hope to grow the practice, reach more people, and continue giving back to the community that has given so much to me. Ultimately, it’s about making a lasting impact through consistent, quality care.”
Congratulations to Dr. Cassy Nagel on one year of leadership, learning, relationships, and serving the River Falls community through ChiroWay. Here’s to year two and the impact still to come.
