Raising our quality of function is always a matter of how much harmony is within us. Harmony and balance is a chemical orchestra within us-common term for this harmony is homeostasis. Our internal biochemistry harmony directly impacts all levels of your human physiology, performance and quality of life. Within every thought, action or reaction comes with an intricate balance of chemical production to create a symphony of physiological effects.

The physiology in your body has a cause-effect relationship as it relates to proper and improper function. Similar to a light switch, when you flip the switch up it turns the light on-flip it down it turns the light off. This is a cause-effect relationship. Your body could be compared to as the room or home and when you make choices for your wellbeing-thats you flipping the switch up or down depending upon whether those choices are good or bad for your chemical pathways and overall biochemistry balance. Your innate intelligence of the body is always creating forces for flipping the switch up for more light, more health and more wellbeing. This interrelatedness is so intricate that many times, causes may have other factors that intertwine together in the cause-effect relationship.

The problem with the cause-effect principle, as it relates to biochemistry or human physiology, comes down to determining what the exact cause-effect relationship is; because everything contributes to anything in physiology. Everything contributes to anything means there are many factors that can play a part in your wellbeing.

Factors contribute to the cause-effect relationship. These factors create an interrelatedness so intricate that many times, causes that we know work for person A may be different for person B as person B has other factors that create an altogether different cause-effect relationship when comparing person A and person B.

Another example is how the cause-effect relationship of stress impacts each of us differently. Stress has a tendency to break down your physiology in everyone when adaptation to it is less than the forces effecting the physiology; but how it breaks down your physiology is dependent upon many factors. If we look at two people who have the same stress filled environment, they can experience two very different effects on their bodies: one person may suffer a heart attack, while the other person may develop ulcers. Factors are a part of physiology and contribute to the cause and effect relationship of wellbeing and factors can create different results in the cause-effect relationship.

Everything in your body has this cause-effect relationship working at the cellular level, tissue level, organ level, systems level and don’t forget the organism level so overall function can occur. Within these five levels-you have an estimated seventy trillion cells functioning in an inter-relatedness for overall function. That means you have one long mathematical equation with over seventy trillion variables that just include the cells as the variable. There are so many factors or variables involved with this cause-effect relationship of how your human body functions as a whole complete organism you have to leave room for unknown variables or factors.

Your quality of life is a complexity of trillions of chemical reactions taking place within your body. Quality of life is a complexity of physical, mental and social states combined to create an overall state of wellbeing. Every single part of your body works in union with one another through the control and coordination of the neurological system. Because of this, many aspects of your quality of life may benefit from a better functioning body.

Making positive choices for your body to function better can pivot on the fact that your internal biochemistry balance can influence your overall health and wellbeing. Your neurological system is the primary tool for adaptation and responsiveness.

Chiropractic Adjustments have a positive influence for your quality of life due to this intimate connection between the neurological system and adaptation and responsiveness. Your neurological system is a powerful network of nerves that have more potential for coordination and control than any computer.

The neurological system coordinates all the major systems within the body such as cardiovascular, breathing and digestion.  Knowing how pivotal the neurological system is within the body for overall function should make you consciously find ways to invest into protecting this key pathway for inner biochemistry balance, responsiveness and overall adaptation to our environment.
