Our well-being, health, or physiological homeostasis starts when two individual cells unite forming one whole cell. This one whole cell undergoes cellular division, creating more cells from the one whole cell.
The process of multiplying cells from the original cell is an action of separating the whole into separated parts. This division creates an estimated trillion cell orchestra of growth, reproduction, specialization and information processing from one cell to the next.
Our quality of life starts and revolves around the cell and the trillions of cells that combine together to form tissues, organs and systems originate from the one cell that was united during embryonic development.
Embryonic development is a perfect picture of how the physiologic processes within our body require very little outside assistance besides shelter, protection and food supply. Our well-being has an inner intelligence that governs the trillions of actions within each cell in order for the orchestrated action of well-being to occur.
These trillions of cells are intelligently functioning without conscious effort. Our heart muscles are contracting, our digestive mucous cells are producing enough acid to digest today’s intake.
Our well-being is dependent upon all of these cells, tissues and organs working together to form something bigger than the whole.
Our wholeness within us is greater than the sum of the trillions of cells. What that means is you can’t just count the major organs within your body and say you’re the sum of the heart, the brain, the stomach, legs, etc.
The intelligence within physiology is the guiding principle of organization and coordination that allows our trillions of cells to work in a state of harmony throughout the body. The matter is our physical body that is built from cells, tissues and organs into functioning systems. The energy is the connection between the intelligence and matter that flows throughout the body, keeping you in a state of “being.”
Life energy travels to and from the brain through the nerves to all parts of the body. The energy source to your well-being is how chiropractic can promote whole body benefits. Through the application of chiropractic adjustments, interference in the life energy traveling through your nerves can be removed.
With the brain being the source of your life energy, it sends energy down the spinal cord and then out to your entire body through the nerves. This cycle then repeats back from the body through the nerves up the spinal cord and into the brain. This cyclical flow of energy from brain to body and body back to brain through your neurological system is how your trillions of cells work together physiologically.
When any of the 24 vertebrae subluxate out of proper position and irritate rather than protect the nerves, interference in the transmission of neurological life sustaining energy or impulses can occur between your brain and body. This is what chiropractors term vertebral subluxation. The correction of vertebral subluxation is accomplished through a chiropractic adjustment, similar to turning the dimmer up on the light switch allowing more light to shine.
The chiropractic adjustment assists the vertebrae into normal alignment with gentle pressure in a specific line of drive. Chiropractic adjustments open up the circuit between the brain and body by creating less interference in the neurological system, allowing normal function to occur throughout the entire body due to adequate nerve supply. Being free from vertebral subluxation will benefit your quality of life to the degree it’s affected by your neurological system.
All parts of your body work in union with each other through the control and coordination of the neurological system, therefore all aspects of your life could benefit from being free of vertebral subluxation. Your quality of life is a complexity of physical, mental and psychological states combined to create an overall state of well-being.
