How does the Chiropractor know whether your child needs a gentle and safe chiropractic adjustment?

Let’s begin with a simple definition of Chiropractic for this conversation: Chiropractic is a health care discipline that recognizes the innate recuperative power of the body to heal itself by identifying and caring for vertebral subluxations, emphasizing the relationship between structure and function as coordinated by the neurological system and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of well-being.

When your child arrives for a chiropractic analysis, your chiropractor is determining whether or not vertebral subluxation is present in your child’s spine. They are looking for asymmetry within the vertebral position at the segmental level. They’re looking for tissue or tone activity associated with that asymmetry.

The neurological system is so vital to well-being that it’s protected by the vertebrae, with ligamentous structures and soft tissue muscles there to stabilize this protection. When misalignment and interference to the neurological system occurs, the muscle spindles contract in an attempt to self-correct.

The Chiropractor is looking for these stabilizing muscles that are trying to self-correct through a stretch reflex at the vertebrae level.

Using palpation, chiropractors can determine which segments within your child’s spine have vertebra that are subluxated due to the soft tissues inherent muscle spindles creating a stretch reflex for normal alignment to occur. The Chiropractor interprets the intentions of a working muscle and determines what direction these muscles are pulling and what is the basic line of correction of the misalignment.

Chiropractic care for your children can provide an opportunity to invest into your child’s health and well-being even if there is an absence of disease or infirmity. Chiropractic care for children can improve health and overall function due to the intimate relationship between the spine and neurological system. The health of the spine influences the health of of the neurological system which therefore impacts overall quality of function throughout the body.

When choosing to invest into your child with chiropractic care, the location and correction of spinal dysfunction unlocks the potential for health and well-being to be in harmony. A body in harmony allows organs and systems to function at their potential.

The importance of investing into your child’s well-being the moment you find out they are joining your family is one of the most important decisions a parent can make.

From conception to delivery, your baby is depending upon every decision you make for proper growth and development. The first nine months are critical in your child’s quality of life, but it doesn’t stop after they are born.

Once a baby enters the world, even though they are no longer physically connected to their mother, they are still dependent upon the decisions you make for their well-being.

One choice parents can make is the opportunity for your child to benefit from chiropractic care. Every child is unique, and consulting with a chiropractor for their professional recommendations is advised. Chiropractic care can be a great way for parents to provide their children with a higher quality of life and unlock their inner potential.

A child’s health potential directly impacts their future development in physical, mental and social well-being. When well-being is lost, parents will take no shortcut or cost prevention to regain what’s missing.

Children’s bodies are resilient, but as the demands increase in all of our lives, including children, our decisions for their well-being need to focus on being proactive. Chiropractic adjustments for children is a proactive choice to unlock the potential within their body to function at a higher quality of state.
